Share Their Story: A Tribute to the History of 1945 Oklahoma City

Thank you for helping us bring the vibrant history of 1945 Oklahoma City to life. We are seeking the names and stories of the individuals—the high schoolers, Douglas Aircraft workers, returning veterans, and community pillars—who shaped our city during this pivotal year.

An Immersive Legacy

This is more than a tribute; it is a living history experience. By submitting a biography, you are committing to attend the event in the persona of your chosen individual. Selected biographies will be featured in our official Souvenir Signature Book, which every guest will receive. The bios that will be included in the book will be announced the week of the event.

Submission Instructions

To ensure your loved one's story is accurately represented, please include the following:

  • The Basics: Full name of the individual (and their nickname, if applicable).
  • Their Role in 1945: What was their daily life in OKC? (e.g., Student at Central High, worker at the Douglas Aircraft plant, soldier returning home, or local shopkeeper).
  • The "Heart" of the Story: A brief biography (150–300 words) highlighting a specific memory, a daily routine, or how they kept the community spirit alive on the home front.
  • Signature Traits: Does this person have a specific catchphrase, a physical habit, or a distinctive style? These details help bring the persona to life during the event.
  • Photograph: Please upload or attach a photo of the individual if one is available.

How to Submit: Complete the form below or email your biography and photos directly to amy@castlefalls.com.

A Quick Tip for Success:  When writing the bio, focus on a "snapshot" moment. Instead of just listing their job, tell us what they heard when the sirens signaled the end of the war, the smell of the grease at the plant, or the songs they sang at a Sunday social. Those small, sensory details are what make a "Living History" persona truly unforgettable.
